Polka Dots + Pink

Dress – Buffalo Exchange, Shoes – Burlington Coat Factory, Belt – Thrifted, Cardi – Boscov’s
I wore this to see Namasya at the Arts Bank for this year’s Philly Fringe/Live Arts Festival. Shantala Shivalingappa’s performance was hypnotic, with her rhythmic, intense, intricate, and at times awkward movements. A few times during the show, she danced in complete silence, magnified by the size of the venue and the hundreds of people in the packed audience. I was lucky to get a seat – it ended up being standing room only and someone was kind enough to offer me his.
This is one of my new favorite dresses, which is really a skirt. It reminds me of the 90s, one of my favorite fashion decades. The 90s hold a special place for me – I really had time to dedicate to figuring out who I am and what I like. It’s been a long time since I’ve had black and white polka dots in my wardrobe, but I’m glad I do.

LOVE this! Can’t believe it’s a skirt. It’s super cute as a dress sand love the pop of pink! And you’re in Philly?? That’s where I grew up
Thanks Elaine! Yes I’ve lived in Philly for the past 10 years or so – what part did you grow up in? “Small world”
